Privacy Policy

Because CardStuff is a public blog some data may be stored or publicly
viewable by other visitors or members of CardStuff, in order to explain to you what data is viewable/protected there is a privacy policy in place,
please read it as it covers any data that is viewable/protected. If you are unsure of something written on this page and need clarification, you are more than welcome to email me at the usual address and highlight anything that you are unsure of.

Cookies

CardStuff automatically creates a small cookie file which is stored within
your computer hard-drive. This file is nothing more than a feature in browsers
that create cookie files (Usually on the first visit on a website that the
browser has not viewed before). This cookie does not contain any malicious code
or script.

Registered Members

This blog is publicly accessible to anyone, you do not have to register to view the blog, but you may to comment. You can browse any content shown as a guest user. You can choose to register as a member of the blog by using a valid register link. Should you choose to register to the blog you gain a
username and password that is unique to you which is stored in a secure database, and all data is encrypted. You can also have a profile that you can choose to add personal information on. This is optional. Any data you don't want showing you can simply choose to not put anything in a input field. One information type that every registered user must have is a valid email address, this field of information is hidden still but it must be inputted as data, otherwise you cannot obtain a account.

Email Addresses

CardStuff never displays a users email address directly unless the user
chooses it to be displayed publicly. Any email address entered into a data field will be hidden publicly. This mostly applies to comments that you
will see on the website. You are required to put in a email but it will not
be displayed to a normal user, only administrators will see this sensitive
information.

Gravatars

Since support of the feature gravatars has been added into CardStuff, a small transfer of data will occur when you post a comment anywhere on this website. When you post a comment the website will check to see if there is a gravatar associated with email address you provided when you wrote out the comment field. This small check does not compromise your email address in any way.

Who's Online feature

This is a feature built into CardStuff and it simply tracks who is currently
viewing the blog, this feature will track your IP address during your visit to
the site. Once you leave it will be seen as the session of your IP being over
and the who's online feature will drop your IP from the online list. This
feature does use a database, but it does not store your IP address. It will for a short time create a session where your IP is stored, but as soon as your IP address has been found to not be active on the domain anymore it will be deleted and dropped from the database.
